Wednesday 16th December 2009 Ministry of Sound Christmas Party Ministry of Sound
Sleigh bells jingled and the snow fell. No, we weren't in Lapland, but at the annual Ministry of Sound Christmas party.
The main bar was totally transformed into a true winter wonderland. Decadent extravagance was the order of the evening and guests were dressed to the nines sipping away at pink Champagne served in pukka old-school Champagne saucers. Bubble Food's three 50's American styled roller girls, complete with white fur muffs skated in and out of the crowd on the freshly laid white carpet, adding to the atmosphere.
Hungry guests wasted no time in gravitating towards the dramatically decorated buffet table, laden with an array of stunning Christmas fare, served up on silver platters. The centre piece was a six foot tower of Martini glass, bearing Christmas cake trifle with white chocolate mousse, surrounded even taller candelabra and storm lanterns.
Jody Harsh spun the discs but not before our very own Dolly Parton tribute wowed the guests with her authentic Dolly sound, guests couldn't help but get down to '9-5', 'Jolene' and other classics. During her finale she had the crowd slow-dancing to mega-hit, 'I will always love you' !
Any remaining hungry tummies were fed with either turkey and all the trimmings or tarragon salmon with pak choi, served up in bowl food the gorgeous-styled Bubble girls, and our hunky boys mixed cocktails. Guests then danced the night away till the morning hours.
Conclusion: A cracking night was had all!

Saturday 12th December 2009 Michael Van Clarke Celebration of 21 Years in Business Michael Van Clarke, Beaumont Street Salon
Showgirls in corsets and feathers, gold 'glitter' girls in G-strings, comedians, a personal photo booth, a stomping band and Studio 54 Disco were all part of the fun provided for 180 guests who attended one of the hottest parties of the year, in Marylebone on Sat 12th December. The occasion was a serious celebration of celebrity hair dresser, Michael van Clarke's 21st year in business.
Held at his elegant Beaumont Street salon, flaming torches greeted party goers at the entrance and after intricate adult face painting fun on the ground floor, divided their time between all the action in the different themed rooms and the chill out space in Michael's wonderful apartment above the salon.
Bubble Food's glamorous waiting staff once again served guests with a stunning array of carefully selected canapés which were accompanied Champagne and very popular frozen alcoholic cocktails courtesy of two rather over worked 'slush puppy' machines.
Valued long time customers attended the glittering reception and later in the evening the arrival of brother Nicky Clarke, kept it a truly family affair of bouffant proportion!
Congratulations to Michael and his team of skilful stylists for 21 years of success. Bubble Food wishes them all the best for another 21 and more!

James Cameron joined stars Sigourney Weaver, Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana to meet fans in Leicester Square.
The film is set in the 22nd Century on a distant planet, Pandora, inhabited a humanoid race with its own culture.
Reports have suggested the movie cost more than $200m (£123m) to make.
Cameron conceived the story for it in 1995, then waited a decade for technology to catch up so he could film it.
At a press conference before the premiere Cameron spoke of his relief that the film was finished after working on the production for more than four years.
Our team then worked into the night at the after party at Century Club.

Lashing rain and freezing winds did little to deter the 1200 or so party goers who attended the Red Bull Formula 1 end of season party on Saturday 28th November
James Perkins, who bought us Fantazia back in the 90's, generously opened his magnificent private period residence, Aynhoe Park for the first time in 400 years to the bus loads of happy F1 associated revellers who partied the night away till the early hours of Sunday morning.
Bubble Food and it's glamorous waiting staff, provided sustenance way of eight different bowl foods with highlights such as Chicken Jalfrezi with peppers, tomatoes & Basmati Rice and teriyaki Salmon with Asian slaw. Italian Gelato cones and cups, cooled off the crowd at midnight and the seriously hungry polished off posh bacon baps and samosas at 1.00am before wearily winding their way home after an amazing night.
'Dirty Kate' was not one of the guests, but one of the great cocktails served up at several bars throughout the house and adjacent marquee whilst entertainment abounded with a Karaoke room, chill out zone and two DJ areas.
Two crowd thrilling surprises made the evening really memorable - the arrival of the F1 Red Bull racing car driven Red Bull's F1 driver, Sebastian Vettel which screamed it's way through guests in the marquee up to the stage, and the excellent Razor Light who played a live set at midnight.
A champion stunt rider dismayed guests mounted tables and bar counters on his motocross bike whilst David Coultard participated in the award ceremony that followed on the main stage. Highlights of the Red Bull F1 success, were simultaneously beamed through the venue on huge LED screens.
Bubble Food were thrilled to work on this event and are looking forward to our ongoing relationship with Red Bull.
